A chamber music concert series presented on Sunday afternoons in a private home in Los Altos Hills, CA. Chamber music, which has been described as “the music of friends,” is a form of classical music that is composed for a small group of instruments—traditionally a group that could fit in a palace chamber or a large room. Guests enjoy a themed concert performed by local professional musicians and singers, followed by an elegant reception.

Music of the Jewish people has reflected its stormy history, from the abject despair of oppression, expulsion, and the Holocaust to the ecstatic abandon celebrating life’s joyful moments.  Please join us for our next Music in the Hills chamber concert with professional Bay Area musicians and works by Ernst Bloch, Alexander Krein, and Kurt Weill.  We are also excited to feature a beautiful contemporary retelling of The Diary of Anne Frank with “I Remember” by Michael Cohen, a piece for voice, harp, flute, and cello and a lively performance by klezmer music group Klezmore Square that will make you want to dance! Following the concert is an hors d’oeuvre reception including delicious wine and Jewish food prepared by Beth Corman Lee, creator of the food website OMG Yummy! and author of The Jewish Baking Cookbook.
